Default sputtering

ok guys. i ran into a problem today. while driving home i noticed my engine was sputtering. it was doing it when i was crusing at about 50-60mph somewhere in that range. when i excelerated harder to see what it would do, it would just sputter more and more and almost sound like it wanted to back fire. anyone have any idea what this could be. think maybe theres water in the fuel line or dirty injectors? maybe fouled spark plug. please help

Sounds like a bad plug or loose wire. Check to see that everything in your ignition system is working correctly first.

thats kinda what i was thinking. i went out and bought some new plugs and fuel injector cleaner. gonnna install those here in just a few. think maybe some bad gas might have something to do with it? cause i didnt notice it till after i gassed up.

well i usually fill up mainly between 3 stations. it was a pretty wet and rainy day when i did so i wonder if that had something to do with it. but plugs are in, injector cleaner is in and its running good. no sputtering or hesitation. so hopfully it stays like this.
