rocker arm adjustment

Default rocker arm adjustment

any one know how to adjust rocker arms? i know that u have to tighten the rocker arm bolt down until there is no slack in the pushrod. then tighten the rocker arm bolt another 1/4 of a turn. the part i dont know is the pattern u have to do it in, like its TDC then u do 4, then you turn the engin over 180 degrees and do the other 4. dose any one know the pattern or sequnce that u have to do it in? please HELP!!

In the manual it just says rotate to TDC. Allow 5 minutes for lifters to bleed. And tighten bolts to 21 ft pounds. This is on the 5.9l engine. Im sure it's the same for all the others.

Manual (Haynes) says to line up V8 or V6 mark on damper to the TDC mark on block. This is the neutral point in the engine's directional rotation and the point where the rockers can be tightened.
Best to get a repair manuaql if you are going to do any work that you are not sure of.

Edited due to speeeeling and being otherwise scatterbrained.
