shifting problems- any ideas?

Default shifting problems- any ideas?

i have a 99 dodge dakota 5.2L, when i first start it , it does fine, but when i've driven for more than 10 mins, and kill and then go to start it up shortly after i kill it the abs light comes on, the speedometer wont work , and it wont shift out of 1st , any ideas would be great !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Welcome to the forum and sorry to hear about your troubles. Almost sounds like a PCM issue. What is weird is that it only happens when it gets hot. Are there any more symptoms?

i was told that it could be linked to a sensor in the rear end, but i changed it and i didnt notice any difference .

sounds like limp mode in the transmission or a loose cable somewhere...
