Default RPM stickin problem

Hey guys, I got a Dodge Dakota Sport 2001.. And recently been having problems with my RPM's stickin at like 2000 or 3000 RPM... Usually whenever I downshift or pull up to a stop sign/red light... Anyone have an idea of what may be causing this problem?? If so I'd appreciate your help... I've been told it may be my TPS valve, that is needs to be clean..

Nick

Never heard of this but clean all of the sensors attached to the TB and see if that fixes it. Could also be a broken/cracked vacuum line because when you take these off they bring the rpm up...
