Default tranny issue

I have a question for the tranny gods. Since it has gotten cold I have been having trouble with the 2-3 shift. It only happens the first time it shifts and only when the truck is cold. If I warm the truck up for 10 minutes I do not see the problem. It doesn't want to make the initial 2-3 shift but it is fine after it does it once. I could also make the tranny slip while it's trying to shiftif I try and raise the RPM's to make it shift.any thoughts??? 99, 318 ,auto, 77K tranny never serviced ,fluid looks and smells fine.

I plan on getting the tranny serviced but I thought maybe this was a possible band ajustment thing that someone may have come across before

Like Travis said. Get a complete Tranny Flush out and new filter before you take it to the tranny shop. Spend about $150 on the flush and fill before you spend a grand on rebuild.

Had the same issue with my '99. Needed high clutch seals. Also had a shift kit installed also. works great now. Good news the parts are cheap. Bad news the labor is not. And most of the job is labor. Good luck.
