Default Manual Locking or Automatic locking hubs?

What do these trucks have? More specifically what does a 99 have? Or does it depend on the transfer case? The truck im looking at has the manual 4x4 with the lever not the electronic push button.

on my 97 they are always locked in, you just have to engage the transfer case.

the hubs are engaged all the time. the transfercase will just dissengage the front drive shaft when in 2wd and engage it when in 4 wheel drive.
