Default Sealing a Manifold

Since I bought my truck over a year ago I have this dreaded ticking noise, which I have found to be a manifold leak, or where the manifold connects to the y pipe. I was just wondering what is the best way to fix a leak. The problem is that I don't want to remove them twice, I want it done the first time right. I can't find any gaskets for the v6 mag, 3.9 other than the cheapo graphite gaskets (which plain suck) I was wondering about copper sealant I have read about people using this as it resists upto high temps, and they even have gaskets made from copper but I can't find one for my truck.

Any help would be great!

you might not need a gasket there depending on the flange type. have you tried unbolting, cleaning the surfaces & then putting it back together? also have you checked for any cracks there?

Have you tried www.remflex.com ? On the expensive side, but they work.

I looked at Remflex, but there isn't one for the v6. I did take one side off and put a gasket in, but still no luck. still leaks like crazy, and i didn't see any cracks. looked fine.

Would my best bet be to take it to a mechanic? Get them to fix it?
