Clearance?
A body lift is really for nothing more then being able to put on oversized tires. The only clearence gain you will see is from the fact the tires are larger.
Suspension raises the chassis higher and therefor gives you more clearence.
*Also as a side note you dont really get much of a gain in actual travel with the rancho kit, just 3" more clearence.
If your looking to get high up there and go suspension lift, you might even throw a body lift on there to add to the suspension lift and increase the possible tires sizes you could run. If you have an 8.25 rear I wouldnt go over 33's though.

I agree with doing a body lift as well as a suspension lift. A body lift will allow you to have bigger tires which will give you more clearence, that combined with the suspension lift will give you maximum clearance. The problem with doing just a suspension lift is that your differential is still going to be the lowest part hanging down. The only way to get more clearance there is to add bigger tires, hence the body lift.
