I have a 1999 dodge dakota 3.9 with automatic transmission.I think its the transmission.when its cold it can go for a few miles and then it starts making a whirling noise from trany and it does not move in any gear not even in reverse.I let it sit for a few minutes and I will get another 3 miles. Maybe it is time for a rebuild? I been lucky cause I never had a problem with it.It has 223,000 MILES. Any suggestions would be appriciated?
