Default Security System

.

Ok I checked to see if my 2002 QC Dakota had a factory security system.....

I locked it with the remote and reached through the window to unlock the door.
I opened the door......no alarms.
So I call the dealership to see if they came with a factorysecurity system, to which they said "yes"....but that it may just have not been turned on by the factory.

Theysaid you can take it to someone who has a hand-held scanner to turn on
and "enable" the VTSS.

It sounds like they all have the capability "built in" already if you have the clicker & power door locks.

Please correct me if this is inaccurate.....otherwise it would be a cheap way to havean alarm without paying a whole bunch to someone else to install an aftermarket one.
