Default Tire Wear

I finally got the time yesterday and it was a nice warm day for January to rotate the tires and just have one concern after doing so. I know 4x4's can tend to cup the front tires but i never had a problem really with it in my jeep with mt's. The back tires were perfectly fine and pretty flat with no type of uneven wear. Whereas the front tires especially the left one was wearn pretty uneven on the insides and outsides. I have hercules terra trac at's which look like revo's if u dont know and the outside and inside looked like saw blades. I was just wondering if this is a common thing in dakotas or ifs vs solid front axels or if i should be concerned and get an alignment done. It doesn't pull or anything but i know it can still need aligned. It does drive a lot smoother now and doesn't seem to grind as much when i turn so im happy it fixed that. Thanks for any input and sorry for the long thread.

This could be a number of things depending on the exact wear pattern shown. The things that i would check are:
a)Tie rod ends
b)Ball joints
or c)Slipped belt in the tire.

The first 2 can be checked fairly easily, jack up the front end and with the steering unlocked (Key to the on position) Wiggle the tires from side to side ever so slightly. If you can feel a clunking when you turn them, you probably have a tie rod gone (could be inner out outer) If not, you want to wiggle the wheel up and down to check for ball joints worn. If this is still not the case it is possible to have a slipped belt in the tire. If you are uncertain about what this looks like take it to a tire shop and have them take a gander at it. The bad thing about this whole thing is that the tires are now considered garbage, but you can still drive on them, you just won't get a good ride.
Good luck to you.

+1 on the possibility of the wheel bearing, but I highly doubt that a thrown weight would give you uneven tread wear. This would only cause a shimmy or vibration.

If any tire is wearing faster on both edges compared to the center, it is because it is under-inflated. Even running only 5psi low can cause this on a tire, especially a tire with an aggressive tread sculpture.
