New owner to a 2000 Dakota
So I just purchased a 2000 Dakota SLT 4WD, 60000 miles. Is there anything I should look at that is common problems, and also the first thing is intake and exhaust think I found the exhaust I am looking for from SummitRacing, and found alot of intake, anyone have any suggestions. Thanks for the help and look forward to being a mopar owner.

RE: New owner to a 2000 Dakota
ya go through all your fluids since the truck is new to you......even if they look good oil and other fluids are your best friend when it comes to your truck so just go through them......it will help you in the longrun. i bought a 01 with 79k and last month i serviced the tranny at my house (new filters, gasket and synthetic fluid) it acts much happier so i will do that every year from now. i also think the 2nd gen. dakota has a upper ball joint recall well atleast my 01 did so the chrysler dealer replaced them for free. just call with your vin # and they will tell you if you have that recall or not....good luck.....oh and btw also you want to have the O/D OFF around town unless your doing over 45 because your tranny will heat up if it kicks in around town but im sure you know all this if you've had a truck before
