Default Exhaust Options

im debating on paying the extra money for headers, i love goin to the track even though my truck is no more than stock right now. im basically wondering if paying a few hundred bucks for headers is worth it. i really wanna get my exhaust done, im planning on getting true dual with probaly 40 series out the back of the truck. i love moding my vehicle but are headers worth the cost and hassle
?

can anyone help me decide if i need headers or not??

I'm not an expert, nor am I the one to really give advice on this matter since I never take my truck to the track, but I think we will need a LOT more info. What year and size engine? What tire size are you running right now? You say its completely stock, so headers alone wont do a whole lot for you. Headers + exhaust might, but there are other things you will want to upgrade as well. Anyone else have a better idea of what he should do first? I believe that there is an order to what upgrades you will want to do in order to get the best performance when its finished.

Well, Headers will usally give the maximum flow, so the best way to use the power, also with the exhaust don't get chambered if your looking for power, get something free flowing. I saw a site with a bunch of stats but look at magnaflow no chambers free flowing and sound good.

With headers and exhaust I would add on a CAI atleast. Another thing to do would be to get something like a turbo thats were you would see the biggest difference from any mods. try, StsTurbo. They work great and you even gain millage.

A note about the CAI, DON'T buy a kit! Search the forum on the custom CAI's, they work much better than the ones that you buy, they actually suck cold air. As far as headers and exhaust, I say go for it. And then consider a Power Programmer.

x2 on the chambered mufflers but if you want one that sounds amazing and is chambered but you can see straight through go with hooker aerochamber i recommend them to everyone because they sound amazing and you can see straight through it so it flows really really good
