Default Caliper Pin

Whats the best fix for stripped knuckle threads?

probably to swap the knuckle out for a used one. you could try heli-coil on it but I'd loose sleep with that in there cause of the brakes... go to the wrecking yard and ask... I bet its pretty cheep.

I used helicoil and they worked great and it saves you from spending money on a new knuckle. i haven't had a problem with them since

I helicoiled mine and locktited the hell out of it.

Check out the local auto parts stores. You can usually find an oversized self tapping caliper mounting bolt...I found mine at NAPA but I'm sure others shops carry them. I had to call around to find it though since some places were out of stock. It's a simple fix and only costs around $10.
