what the heck kind of insurance u have? mine sends a agent out, and hands me a check...allied is the shiznit

 

We have Nationwide, but we have seen that the 3 other cars (mine now included) involved are now putting it on the Silverado guy's company GMAC, just hope GMAC can get this stuff fixed in a timely matter.

Heres to another update. The adjuster came out to see my truck at the beginning of the week, and gave me his estimate of the damages...$3,901....yeah wow...

I've heard thats pretty close to being totaled, but he said i should be getting a check to take it to a body shop of my choice and get the work done. I'm thinking of taking it to the local Dodge dealership, seems they would be the best bet since they are Dodge.

Now to get the check already...they're taking their sweet time to send it I'm sure.

 

i did some damage to my truck a few years back and the insurance company sent me to a GM dealership to fix it... i guess because they were the cheapest.

 

Yeah, i thought they would, but the guy i spoke with said to take it wherever and if i needed more (which i doubt I'd get) it could be "arranged". So...just waiting, which is hard for me. I hate people trying my patience.

Yeah, so his insurance company is taking care of everything. The clocks ticking and i'm ready to get the Dakota in peak shape again.

 

Well another Dakota has fallen... Poor guy up the street from my flipped the mess outta his R/T. Drove by his house coming home for lunch, and noticed it was torn up. Decided to stop and see if he wanted to part it out, seems that he doesn't. Hoping he'll give me a call back if he changes his mind. Love to get my hands on some R/T parts.

Kinda weird dakota's keep getting trashed...

Could someone tell me IF i decided to get the 5.9 engine from the guy, what exactly am I gonna need to do this swap as far as powertrain parts go? Seeing my truck's 4WD, and the other guys is 2WD....what are my options? Will i need to find a transmission with transfercase so i can keep my 4WD? I'm confused about this, i know its been done many times but seeing most that go this route use 2WD pickups.

Help?

 

ya, i had a 2000 dakota r/t. one day i was setting at the light waiting to turn left in the turn lane, and i looked in my rear view mirror and saw a caddy coming at me... i told my friend to hold on and i mashed the brakes to the floor. wham she hit my rear right side of the truck with her front left. ended up totaling the caddy but it was around $4k to fix my truck. she was yelling at me shouting that why did you stop!!!!! well sence i was at a red arrow with 2 cars in front of me it was self evident why i was stopped. then she tried the whole enchange numbers and insurance without the cops thing... she gave the cops fake name and insurance info... she forgot that the cops write down the vin number. she ended up paying for my truck and got arrested for fictious information to the cops
