knocking front suspension
i have a 99 rt, i have a knocking sound from the front suspension when i drive on rough roads and also in traffic when i apply the brakes. i have had a look and i think that the controlarm bushes need to be replaced. i would appreciate any clues am i on the right lines? plus if they need replacing can i use poly bushes if so where can i find them. i am in the uk, but i would think that the bushes could be posted.
thanks in advance

Are you sure it isn't your ball joints? If you are going to take the control arms out to do to bushings, I would definately replace the ***** joints with greasable ones while you are in there.
hey man i have a 99 RT as well and i have been chasing the knocking in the suspension too! i Replaced the Steering pit arms and the upper and lower ball joints and it helped out ALOT!! but there is still a knock when i go around corners and when the brakes lock up on snow or ice and then grab after hitting dry land or letting off brakes! You can tell the rubber bushing are cracked and "mushy". So I bought a set of poly bushings from this company and they F***** me over and took 2 months to get to me mean time i ordered a set that took 2 days to get to me from JEGS!!! so now i have two sets!! if u are interested in the other set let me know i will make u an awesome deal... they have been sitting in my closet for a few months they are Poly bushings "black" couldnt get red. and the are made by Energy suspension!!! let me know if you are interested...
