Default blower motor resistor connector

i had the same problem today. i bought the same kit from the dealer. it took me a couple of hours to replace it. had to take the clip apart to put the new wires into it. don't understand only the two colors/diameters of the wires. the old harness has at least three different diameters of wire.

still doesn't work. i may have a bad blower motor.

would the HVAC resistor cause the heat/ac to not work on any setting? Because a couple weeks ago my truck was fine and i had the a/c on, i went into the store and when i came back out the a/c didnt work. I can hear the compressor kicking in, but no matter what setting i try nothing comes out or like a little dribble of air will come out of the vents. I'm thinking it might be the blower motor itself, is that hard to fix? also, the little pictures on the a/c settings that are normally illuminated when you have the lights on are not on. anybody know whats going on?
