Default transmission fluid

My owners manual says ATF+2..... all i have seen posted is +3 or +4. Did +3 replace +2? I have seen some replies that said to put in +4, but came across a few web sites that said only for 2001 and up.

I need to dump the fluid in trans asap.... really burned. Just bought vehicle.

Thanks all!!

Yes. ATF+4 does replace and can replace all previous versions of MOPAR tranny fluid

make sure all the old fluid is removed, from experience, the different formulas dont mix very well

Thanks guys!!!! Just wanted to be sure. Was getting worried when I read that +4 was ONLY for 2001 and newer.

Hoping to get this thing running right!!!
