Default lets talk about rear ends

and not the curvy ones!!!
ok guys im looking for some advice. i've got my 3.9 putting out some decent power now and when I add 1.7 roller rockers it'll be putting out some decent low end. My factory 8.25 open diff with 3.55's is getting very annoying, mainly the open differential. I absolutely hate low traction situations like snow or rain because my one wheel spins way too easily and I need to get rid of it. I plan on having a performance shop doing it and installing 4.10 gears at the same time to compliment my mid-high RPM power. I have been looking for LSD's online and most of them say 8.25/8.375. are these two different rear ends but the diff's are interchangable?? it's very confusing. so basically what have you guys done? even a factory LSD would be fine, I just need to know where to get it. There are also a different number of splines for different years, mine is a 2001. Thanks for the advice.

I would call Jegs or summit racing customer service. I have been suprised several times at how much just the phone CS guys know.

I have yukon 4.10's in mine, but took it to a shop and they did all the thinking.....I dont do gears......

If yours is a street truck, you might ask around and see what rpm you would be running at highway speeds. I am running about 2200rpm @ 65mph with 4.10 gears and 32" tires. I can watch the gas needle sink

i found that. i figured out that mine must be 29 spline. the auburn LSD is cheaper than powertrax. it says for like 2.71 gear ratio and up, if i plan on swapping to 4.10's will this affect anything?
thanks
