Default Spark Plug Wire Shorter.

Got another quick question.

While replacing the spark plugs, I broke a wire at the connection.[sm=bangbang.gif] I know how to repair it.

Question is: Will it make a difference, if at all, if the wire is 1/2 inch shorter. I have plenty of reach for the wire.

I have noticed that many after marker wires are never quite the same length as the ones you take off. I just wanted to be sure it is ok to reinstall the wire after repairing it.

Starting to find out this poor old truck was only half a--ed maintained.

Thanks all

no, it'll be fine. always pull spark plug wires from the boot, not the wire itself.

Yes it is perfectly fine to cut the wires shorter. I usually get the "cut-to-length" wires and put all the boots on myself, that way they're always the right length and there's no extra laying around.
