Nocking noise when turning?????
I have a 2000 SLT Club cab V6 2wd 120,0000mi. I have recently lowered it 2in in the front with lowering springs, and 3in in the rear with lowering blocks. Now when I make a sharp U-turn going slow not fast, it makes a nocking noise. someone told me it was the rack but i wanted some more suggestions before I start spending money.
Also I have heard that lowering you truck changes the pinion angle, so I wanted to know what the stock angle is so i can get some shims to adjust mine.
thanks in advance.

First of all, have you replaced the shocks? You could be bottoming them out and not even know it. Have you checked you power steering fluid condition and level? Are you having any rubbing problems with the tires against the inner wheel well rubbers or frame? I have a feeling it is the tread on the tire rubbing somewhere.
Brand new shocks all the way around, about an inch clearance when the wheel is turned lock to lock. Powersteering fluid level is good.Plus Its a nock not a rubbing noise tread shows no sign off rubbing.
I would make sure it isn't a ball joint problem. Lift the front of the truck on either side and try to move the wheel/tire in it's camber motion. If it moves, you need new ball joints. Is the alignment out? Are you having any issues driving that are steering related?
Another overlooked possibilty is the steering stops, see if they are dried up. if they are you can put an adhesive lubricant on them. its just a suggestion if nothing else is working.
