Default will this LSD work?

will this auburn LSD work for my 2001 dak? http://www.tellico4x4.com/product_in...8f546716f59f95

it is on a site for mainly jeeps but it seems to be one of the only ones I can find for my truck. I have looked for other LSD's that arent so expensive but I cant find any. I plan on swapping out to an LSD and 4:10's in the spring. I am looking for more off the line power.

most likly you have 8 1/4 rear since u have thje 3.9, just make sure you get it for that pumpkin size and the proper gear for your axle shaft spline count, i think we either have 29 or 31, something like that, if i come across somthing il give you a heads up

i know i have the 8.25, can someone give me a spline count for a 2001 8.25? I know somewhere they changed it, this auburn LSD says its for 29 spline. I am not even going to touch the project, I'm going to have a shop do it. I just want to make sure I have the right parts so I dont get charged for them to tear it apart, find out it's the wrong part, and then put it back together.

why not get the 9.25 or whatever it is? It's stronger, if it's an easy swap that is.

because it's not an easy swap and the 8.25 is just as strong. besides, im not pushing that much power anyway.
