pitkanen,

how does your dual exhaust sound with the manual transmission? i only have the 3.9 but i wanted to put duals on it anyways, the guy at the shop suggested just single in single out because the shifting would make it sound horrible on duals? just wondering, thanks

3.9's sound like rice burners on the top end of engine speed, i would know 8 hint hint i have the 3.9), plus single in and single out exhaust helps keep your low end torque, but i bought a single in, dual out cat back exhaust from dynomax and t sounds decent until i hit about 4k rpms then it gets ricey sounding but nowhere compared to a fart can

i love the way mine sounds when i downshift...you will get a lot more rasp or crackle with a stick but it also depends on the muffler. With mine i have the V8 and with my muffler it doesnt cackle but sounds really good. It will get a cackle to it sometimes but not nearly as much as a flowmaster. I am really wanting to hear my muffler on a V6 (trying to talk my dad into getting one on his 4.0 cherokee) its meant to cancel out all of the high frequency and give you a great low sound i love it on mine. Demarco if you haven't chosen a muffler yet i would definitaly reccomend mine i dont think it would sound as ricey as some mufflers because its meant to only allow lower sounds. IF you wanna check it out i have vids on youtube and its called a Hooker Aerochamber. Pretty cheap to on summit or jegs i forget where i got it but it was only about 70 or 80 for a single in dual out. And as long as you dont over due the tail pipes i would suggest going duals for the looks on a v6 i would suggest 2" dual outs. i have dual 2 1/4" on mine. If you have any other questions let me know.

that has a nice sounding rasp and crackle in it...Do you still have a cat?

I have a super 40 as opposed to your 40, and it doesn't have that same rasp as yours... much more mellow, but definately as loud
