i've got the same problem. but none of the above would work. we took the tps out and cleaned it, got a new one, tried it, took it back. nothing it working. it will run for about 2-3 seconds, and die, no matter how hard i hit the gas, or if i hit it at all

it's not throwing any codes, but the truck is actually acting as if the pcm is out or shot. it's not reading anything on the tach, and it's not having any of my gauges in the dash move except the oil pressure. i cant figure this one out guys

 

if your computer is shot send me a PM. I have a 97 v6 comp for sale. worked when I removed it. (Put a 5.9 into my truck so I have no use for it. )

 

well i have the v8 5.2 and it's 4x4. i dont think that would switch over. i found a computer for it, but it's like 5-6 hours away, and 125 bucks. i might be paying some shipping. does anybody know how to test the pcm or where i can get it tested?
