Default 4.7L cams

I want to put a cam in my 01 dakota, ive done a little research and found that it requires

Part #P53021411AB - Mopar 4.7L V8 Cam (Left Side)
Part #P53021412AB - Mopar 4.7L V8 Cam (Right Side)

im inquiring how difficult this journey could be and if there are any precautions i would need to look out for.

I hope you know about timing. you can do it without messing up the timing just make sure the chain doesnt slip off inside. then your going to have fun.

That would suck, but thats what magnets are for! I would just set some sort of bar up to wedge in there to keep the chain from falling, Im guessing you can change the cam without taking off the cover in the front. I had to change my chain on my truck, and that was a bitch!. Ended up being that i didn't need to but oh well. I was already there wasn't going to not do it.
