Default 1997 Dodge Dakota SPEEDO NOT WORKING HELP!

Ok we got my Girl a very nice 97 Dakota Manual trans. V6 Runs great! But on her way home from work today the Speedo stopped working and threw a check eng. light.
I thought No big deal just a cable BUT! I cant find a cable!???? Confused????

Is there a cable and if so where can we get a new one. Or what else could be wrong??? Speed sensor???

ur speed sensor is shot, not sure where it is on the manual tho, may be over the rear axle? or on the tranny, buy a Haynes bible

Can you get the codes off this truck like other Dodge and Chry. products?? Just turn the key 5 times and count the flashs on the check eng. light???

Thanks for the help guys!

You should not even need to buy one, if there is any large chain autoparts store near you they will usualy run your codes for free in an effort to sell you the part to fix it.
