tb lift question..

Default tb lift question..

hey guys. i just got my new dak 4x4 just a week ago. it sits pretty high and i love it.. but question i have is how can i tell if the previous owner did a TB lift on it? counting threads or something ? im not sure if its suposed to sit this high normally or not.. im used to my v6 2wd which is so much lower.
anyway thanks for any replies. talk lata.

TB lift? Do you mean a body lift? Look at where the body mounts to the frame. A good place to check is right behind each front tire. There's a large bracket welded to the outboard side of the frame. There's a large bolt there that bolts the body to the frame. From the bottom, in order, you should see: the bolt head, the lower insulator, the bracket itself, the upper insulator, and the body. If there's a separate piece (lift block) between the body and the upper insulator, then you know it has a body lift.

I would measure the front and rear. the front should be around 1.5" - 2" lower then the back.
