I have a 2000 4.7 and i had a cam position sensor code and changed that , also checked the voltage on that and the crank sensor and both are good. But it still wont start, it coughs back through the intake when cranking ANY HELP would be great !!!!

most of the time a backfire means its too lean, however even rarer is backfire when its too rich. but first check the rotor and cap, iLL bet its wet. if you put a new cap on, block off the vent in the cap, this keeps wettness out. j b weld works good for this. i have been doing this for years seams to work. for years i put a new cap and rotor on each fall, cheep insureance.
