just wonderin if the 02and newer ram and the dak share the same ifs diff. im concidering a gear swap(3.55 now) and know u could get a ram or a dak with 3.92 gears which are what im concidering. been lookin around in the local junkyards... just wonderin if i could ****** the whole ifs assembly and bolt it up, or if i would be better off just grabing the ring and pinion...also would i need to get the carrier? idk if my 3.55 carrier will work with the 3.92s. i hav the 9.25 rear and i kno parts will swap from a ram, just looking mainly 4 info on the ifs. oh yea is 3.92 the lowest gear avaliable in a dak or a 1500 ram? im trying 2do this swap on the cheap. any info will help me out alot. thanks

Not sure if diffs. are the same on ram. Dealer or Yard should be able to tell you.
Thats big bucks for that swap, 2 axles.
Pretty sure 3.92 is lowest gears avail. If u change the gears only, u have to shim for pinion depth and backlash. Guess u need the gears for the 33's.
