Stalls when shifting down to 2nd
99 Dakota 2 wheel drive V6 3.9L manual trans.
I have recently had a few things happen at once. I had a leak ina brake line/fitting and saw brake fluidflowing outfrom under the driver side area. Brake pedal pushed to floor and master cylinder was emptied as I limped it to the mechanic using my parking brake to stop. It was at this time that the ABS and Brake lights came on (understandable I thought). Also on the way to the mechanic my truck began to stall when shifting down to2nd to come to a stop. Revs would go right down once I let off the clutch in 2nd and my engine tries to stall unless I catch it and give it some gas to keep it going. I had the brake line replaced and leaking is gone. The ABS and Brake lights are still on though. I had the mechanic check the code and he said his machine is reading a short in the rear sensor. He suggested driving it a bit since it came on when the fluid leaked out and maybe it will reset. This was about a month ago. I still have the ABS and Brake light on and still stall (if I don't give it some gas) when shifting down to come to a stop. Any ideas where to look? Does anything else run off the fluid in the master cylinder that may have been affected by my pumping out the fluid on the way to the mechanic? The truck runs fine when started up and left running in idle. Once you take it out for a drive though and then come to a stop it will want to stall.

clean the throttle body and do a tune up, also if a sensor has a short in it, just repalce it, its your real wheel speed sensor, its a common problem with chrysler/dodge vehicles from what i have noticed.
