As a side note to the o2 sim thing, the guy I bought my truck from had a pretty cool idea. Of course, when you remove the cat, and leave the o2 sensor plugged in, the MIL light comes on. It does this because the PCM sees no change in the signal between the front and rear o2 sensor and with a cat in place, it should. So he removed the cat, put pipe in place of it, and zip-tied the rear o2 sensor to the frame. This way, the sensor still sends a signal and the signal is different enough from the front o2 sensor to keep the MIL light off. Pretty cool.....you should try it

Wow. You got ripped off. You shoulda just bought a 2 pack of spark plug defoulers. They run like a buck fifty.

All you do is drill one out with a 1/2" drill bit most of the way through, so the sensor fits in it. Then with the sensor screwed into one defouler, plug the other defouler into the end of that, and screw that whole thing back into the o2 bung.

Works 100% of the time. No light. No huge waste of money. Easy, and takes about 10 minutes with no modification to your wiring or anything else.
