ok i know this has been covered before, i had all the info saved on my comp but then it crashed....grrr
so i was wondering if someone could direct me to some info on doing the swap myself...
ex:
parts i need, where to get them

wow thats going to be expensive since yours is 4x4. you gotta change both axles. Im going to get my truck changed to 4:10's when i get the money but im just going to buy all the parts and have a local performance shop do the swap. i wouldnt even try it especially with a 4x4.
however, i can try to point you in the right direction. you need to go to www.dodgedakotas.com and talk to user GraphiteDak. he did a 4.56 gear swap on his 4x4 dak.

well, i've decided to only do one set for now...the rears obviously...
but basically its getting into summer, im not wheeling in this thing so no need 4x4
so i just wont use 4x4 until i do the fronts
its gonna cost me about 450 in just labor to get the rears done
