Yes it's possible, I would go ststurbo.com, they have some awesome set ups, but I would rebuild your engine top to bottom before doing that to make it handle the extra pressure from a turbo, you can always just do a single and it would give you plenty of umpf... And always upgradable from there when needed...

All depends what you want for sound, if you sts no point in getting an exhaust because it replaces it (or cat not sure)

But look on you tube for 5.9 magnum exhaust or something and listen, that way you can tell...

Err if anyone knows anything about Turbos.. they work better closer to the exhuas manifolds.. STS is good cheap way to turbo somthing but not the best

I have a friend over at DFWDakotas.com that actually built the Twin Turbo Kit for Dakotas.. He was the owner of speedtweaks (AKA Tom Slick)

he can build you a kit, it was so good, they where able to run it on a Stock 360 and produce SICK Power.. PM me if you are really wanting to get this done.. and i can give Tom a call and see what we can do.. its not cheap BTW. So hope you got a deep pocket.

also KRC tried to buy this truck and steal the Speedtweaks design, KRC eneded up ****ing it up.. but like always nothing good comes from that guy.

anyways PM me if you really want this done...

here is some quotes from Tom

You mean something like this?

This was the one I designed at SpeedTweaks...
I've got better designs than this particular setup now...

Might have been if it was about 3 or so years ago... the owner totalled his truck... plus, he kept screwing things up because he was an idiot... he kept fiddling with the electronic boost controller, kicking up the boost to unsafe levels for that engine (we warned him not to run more than 9psi)
The system itself was capable of producing up to 20psi boost with no problem... it had two Turbonetics T3 Super 60's on it... A 408 would have had twin T4's (small T4's)
When it was tuned at the Motorplex, it ran a best of 12.99 @9psi boost... and that was it being an extended cab, with 20" R/T rims, fiberglass bed cover, and a rather large stereo system with multiple amps... it was heavy (5000+ lbs)

Later,
Tom "Slick"

He didnt say a HP gain, but if a CC 5000+ Truck is running 12.99s on a Stock 360.. that would be close to 450+HP a stock 360 produces 250hp at crank with 344#s of torque

RE: is it possible to twin turbo the 5.9 r/t?
I am actually building a rear mount system for my truck right now. I have done quite a bit of research and if you look at cost, ease of installation, and performance the rear mount idea fit me best. I am going with a single T4 mounted in place of my muffler, and pipe it up to the intercooler using 2.5" aluminum to help cool the charge. I have spoken with STS and HP performance to get my numbers and sizing right and I think im good to go. The install starts within the next couple weeks, I will try to keep some info flowing for anyone that is interested.
