Default Speaker Suggestions

I'm thinking about putting in 4 new speakers to replace the infinity system and possibly going to run an amp for these speakers. Any ideas for decent priced high quality speakers?? Ive heard alot about Focals but any ideas would be great.

Thanks in advance/.

I got Kenwood's in my truck and they sound really really good. I was just gonna get the base model ones but they didnt have them and the guy said he'd meet me half way for the next higher ones and im glad i did. I added dynomat (generic stuff my cousin's husband got from the honda dealer he works at) and they really really bump good. I'd still like to add a sub to get that extra base but they sound really good for the money. I paid like 180 for 4.

yep 6.5 the whole way around. the dynomat made such a difference. before the doors rattled and i wasn't sure i was happy with the speakers but the dynomat around the speakers really set them off they sound amazing now. i wanna get a amp to power the speakers and maybe a set of tweeters and then get a sub too so we'll see. www.crutchfield.com is a great site if your looking for somewhere to get stuff with good install instructions and support and usually free install stuff.

I ran Infinity Kappa series components and coaxials in my last car and they sounded amazing, those need to be amped to really shine though. They're very clear, good midrange, bass output is slightly lower than I'd have liked but I added a sub, high notes are absolutely piercing at loud volumes. I was very happy with them till I let a friend adjust the gain on the amp for me claiming he could get better sound out of them, ended up blowing them instead[&:]
