The computer ignores the O2 sensors until the engine is warmed up.

What year is your truck, and how many miles are on it? Yes, the P0601 code looks like the PCM has an internal problem that probably can't be resolved by a reprogram (although the truck will probably still run good and everything will still work). However, depending on year/mileage of the truck, you may still be covered until the Federal Emissions Warranty.

P0610 is this:
internal control module memory check sum error, I would reset the comp and see what happens.

Thanks for the help guys. It's a 2001 4x4 slt quad cab with 107,000. If the computer ignores the 02 sensers until it's warm I wonder whats making it run rough while it's cold. Those were the only two codes it gave us. It also has the 4.7 V8.

Update: I guess my buddys scanner didn't read all the codes. there were 4 total the pcm failure and 3 02 related. I found the wires going to the 1/2 02 senser melted so I fixed the wiring problem also found the 20afuse in the engine compartment for the 02 sensers blown replaced the fuse disconnected the battery for 10 mins hooked it back up went for a test drive and so far no lights. The codes were p0031,p0051,p0136,p0601 went to autozone and had them checked. Ill post again if it dosent work just wanted to say thanks to dodgerules86 and varsis for your responce.

I will add to this p0601 code came back all others were takin care of so I just ordered a pcm thanks for the help guys
