Default Low End Torque

I've noticed this for a while now but only really got to thinking about it today. My question is I seemed to lose a decent amount of of the line umpf when i got my hi flow cat and exhaust on. It rips over 2500 rpms but under it just seems weak. I only went 2 and a quarter on the dual pipes so i know i didn't get them to big. I was just looking for some ideas to get that low end torque back or off the line go. Would a bigger throttle body help it since the exhaust flows better now? Also a superchips or what not is most likely to expensive for me right now so i need some sub 300 dollar suggstions. Thanks for any help.

Won't get too much for low end back... Unless you do an intake and throttle body. Thats what I have heard, maybe an high output upgrade? I think that will help.

I think that's the trade-off of higher-flowing stuff. More higher RPM power, and less low end. That's why your 4.7L V-8 engine makes "only" 235 horsepower. The 4.6L V-8 in my Cadillac makes 300. But it's at a higher RPM, and doesn't make near the low end that yours does.

Personally, I would sit tight and see if you get used to the change. I don't think putting more money at it will help at this point...not simple bolt-ons, anyway.
