hmm, thats wierd i left a resonse to this and it didnt show up.

Ok

Yes it will work, its a stock v8 Throttle body, which is a 50mm bore but really goes down to 48mm. Either way its still an upgrade for your truck.

With that TB you will also need a v8 throttle cable out off a 5.2 or 5.9 motor. (junkyard time)

this will give you a small decrese in low end torque but make up for it in the mid-high end power band/rpms. You will notice a diffrence on the highway passing people.

also i got your pm, if you plan on dumping that much money in a v6, you might just want to buy a 5.9 or 5.2 block and build it up and drop it in and then part out the v6. You can put alot of money into a v6 before you get what you want. Go with a v8 you will love the torque

I thought only the 5.9 tb you needed the cable... But maybe im mistaken... Yes a v8, is a LARGE upgrade but it is a good one, 800 bucks for mine. 5.9 And she runs good. Just pulled with it for the first time today, also have the exhaust hooked up properly. Pulls up hills like nothing...

5.9 and 5.2 use same TBs.. you need a v8 cable for a v6, if you do a v8 swap on a v6.

v8 and v6 alsmost get the same amount of MPG. in your case Kilos per yard or somthing? Lol just messing with you.

But ya, the v8 has more power to pull the heavy truck so you use less gas to get it moving, where as the v6 takes more power to move the heavy truck.. is kinda evens itself out.
