How long do O2 Sensors last????

I think it was on average 75,000 miles. It;s good to replace them anyways after about 70. They just start to get carbon built up. You can just pull one out and have a look thats the best way.

My mother -in-law had her's changed in 2005, and she only put about 6,000 miles on , and the mechanic is saying it's the O2 sensor again???
Doesn't sound right

Why is the mechanic saying the O2 sensors need to be replaced again?
Their not the cheapest things in the world, and like varsis said, their typical life span is between 70,000 to 100,000 miles, depending on who you talk to.

her check engine light was on, they put it on their computer and said O2 sensor...Car is running fine...from what she said

my dak had 200,000kms before the O2's went


my ram has 27,000miles and its throwing an O2 sensor code......
