Face plate for climate control
Does anyone know if the climate control panel/faceplate is removable on 02 QC? It appears it does with the indent/etching, or is this another dust catcher?
The problem is the air flow controller **** turns but the air flow doesn't change... I'm stuck in defrost and I would love my A/C to come from the vents.
thanks

i know this isnt really answering your question but im not sure about dakotas, but on other cars i have worked on to fix that you can reach up under the dash and fix the part that came off the back of the **** to operate the controls. it should be just a rod that came off the back of the ****...but on some cars its more complicated and you cant reach up and under that area and have to take part of the dash off...
if its the same as my durango(also 02) you have to pull the entire dash out to get at the HVAC controls or radio, or anything else thats back there, i will try to clarify that now, the parpt of the dash that the faceplate sets in over tot he passenger side(including the glove box) comes outabout 4 inches to get at any of those controls, dont take the whole thing off, just slide it out enough that you can get the control box out
andall of those ontrols are electronic IIRC so you need to replace the controler

i have on for a 2001 qc, ill take a pic and try to put it up here. the truck it came out of only had 20,000 miles on it. it was turned into a drag racer. but i'll sell you the control cheap. just make an offer. plus pay flat rate shipping. let me know.
