oil pressure

Default oil pressure

I noticed when I drove my fathers Tahoe that his oil pressure guage was pointing straight up, but when I drove mine it pointed to about the two o'clock position or 75%....is that normal???

yah mine is usually in the middle or if im driving and on the gas it goes up alittle to around 1 oclock or so. never past the last line before too high of pressure. what year truck u have and engine?

yea mine is usually around 11, id say at idle, and goes to around the 1-2 oclock positition when im on the gas its pretty normal, my dads truck does it too

been driving chrysler cars/trucks sence 1965 i have fond that chrysler gauges are not real accurate. some times gas gauges can be way off you might get a mech gauge, i would put more trust in it.

The oil pressure gauges in these vehicles are just glorified idiot lights. They don't correspond to the actual oil pressure at all.

i was going to say pretty much what Jason said....dont take them too seriously, but as long as they read the same thing all the time then things are normal
