Default Question About Power Door Locks Problems

I'm shopping for new/used 2000 Dakota since my current 1 fell in love with a big *** maple tree an they finally got married this afternoon so i'm out of a truck but anyways well looking for info on problems i read about a lot of Dakota owners have problems with power door locks failing an was curious to know how often they f**k up and need to be replaced?

Mine quit at approx 90,000 but was stuck in the unlock position so there it stays for the past year or so.

thanks for reply, i talk to a dodge dealer who said i'd be better off with non-power locks & windows due to $180-$300 they charge to replace the lock assembly and that they can fail every 8 months to 2 years depending on use.

For whatever reason, most of the DCX vehicles that use the door latch/lock assembly have issues at some point with the locks. That and window regulators. Who knows?
