PAINT WARRANTY 2000 DAKOTA
What is the FACTORY paint warranty on a 2000 Dakota? I have looked in the owner's manual, but can't find this information. I have a 2000 Quad Cab that has the paint severly fading/peeling on the roof, hood and bed rails. Dealer has contacted Chrysler, but they have refused to do anything. Truck has LESS that 50,000 miles and was sold NEW only 4-1/2 years ago. Any information and/or suggestions will be appreciated.
actually, i think there is a standard Chrysler paint warranty, i think its 5years/100,000 miles. but i think it also assumes that the vehicle has not been in any accident and does not cover things like rock chips and such. I don't have my warranty card from 00 dakota but I know I remember seeing something to this effect. however, if you do get it repainted, you can get a warranty on that paint, if you get it at a reputable establishment, not Maaco.

there is a warrenty, it is listed in your warrenty book regarding perforation and rust. Not sure the length of coverage. Had to have my hood repainted when the truck was only a year old new to rail dust from the shipment of it.
