I bought a 2002 dakota,quad cab,4x4,3.9l,auto tranny and have had a very annoying problem ever since I got it.I'll be going 50-60 mph,floor it to pass,and I'll get the engine rev limiter kick out the motor again and again but no gear.The rpms go up and down repeatedly.It's down right scary and dangerous.I took the truck to a tranny shop and 1800$ later I still have the same problem.Now in cold weather I even get a whistling sound that goes away if I flick the O/D button.Any one out there can help me?
