Default Maybe you Stereo-guys can help me out here,..

My '99 Dakota has the stock radio/cassette/CD player in it.
I've up-graded all the speakers, even added tweeters
in the doors,.. It sounds great, but,..... After installing
a amp and sub to my Ram, side by side the Dak needs
the same. Only difference is the Ram has a aftermarket
radio, the Dakota is stock. I really like the stock radio so,
how do I hook up a amp to it??
The Kenwood in the Ram was easy, just plug and play.
But the stock radio doesn't have those provisions on the back.
Any help?????

you need to get a line output converter

converts the speaker outputs into RCA

+1 on the converter. They sell for something like $25 at Best buy. It will connect to your rear channel speaker wires using crimp splices and then you will have RCA's to hook up your amp. Very small part, will fit directly behind you radio.

The converter is about your only option. Just make sure to buy the best quality you can, since it's going to be thread in ways unintended. Let us know how it turns out, if the sound quality is up to par!

Alot of the amps now how converters built in to them to be used with the factory stereos. Just buy a good amp that has this feature. Other than that it's the same as your other amp. Power wire with in-line fuse from the battery, Ground to the Chassis, Remote wire to turn it on ( I use the power wire to the deck controlled by the ignition switch on/off)and hook your speakers inand crank it up
