Default Will a 03 rear axle fit a 2000

I have a 2000 qc 4x4 with a 9.25 lsd 3.55 rear end and my rear end is been going out for a while now and i was wondering if i could switch it to a 03 rear end. ive found someone parrting out an 03 with the same set up as mine and i think i can get a pretty good deal on it.

Ive done some searching and people have said you have to get a new master cylinder but i havent found anything about newer ones to older ones, only the aftermarket kits. So if anyone knows if it will bolt right up please let me know what will be needed.

Thanks

Joe

It should fit if it uses the same mounting style, ie: spring under or over the axel. Also if the 03 rear has disc brakes you will have to change yours to match. I am not shure if this just means changing the proportioning valve or master cylinder. I just put an 02 rear into my 99 and everything bolted right in except the parking brake cables needed changed. good luck.
