well first off im new to the site my name is jeremy i have a 98 dodge dakota sport and well i was driving it the other day and i pushed in the clutch to down shift and heard a loud pop and i didnt have a clutch after that and i pulled my tranny and the shifting fork looks good and the throwout bearing looks brand new but the bell housing is soaked with oil and i was told that means its the slave cylinder but wut would make it make the loud pop

i'm not 100% sure on how they work i might know a little better if i decide to replace mine but there it might have blow the line running to it or something. like i said im trying to figure out what is squeaking in my clutch pedal and i might replace the master and slave then i would have a better understanding but thats the best answer i have right now.
