Default Dakota v-6 overheating

I have an '04 Dakota with a v-6 that is losing coolant through the overflow tank. I tried a new thermostat and an aftermarket radiator cap (off brand, not mopar) Any ideas?

Replace the ECT (Electronic Coolant Temperature) Sensor. Cured my problems immediately.
