The poping also takes place when you hit holes. It only mades the sound when you turn left. I put new brake pads on it Lastnight cause they were toast. My truck has 72,000 miles on it. Can anyone help me out??

Ok after a new set of front brake pads and a new ball joint on the upper driver side it still sounds horrible. I have been told mabye the brake line is colapsing, and that could be making the poping sound i am hearing. Anyone know anything about that being a possibility??

how about tie rod ends and the steering rack? it may not be brake related, and i doubt the steel brake lines are collapsing.

im 90% sure it's suspension related if the popping sound occurs when you hit bumps and such

OK after replacing both upper and lower balljoints on the driverside and it didnt fix it we looked harder. Had someone that hadnt heard what it was doing get in my truck and they heard the poping sound. Why he was in it he started tapping the brakes. The caliper was moving about 4" back and forth. We kept looking and finally found were the bar with the bushings on the upper A-arm was moving. We replaced the bushings and havent had any problems since we replaced them. Hopefully that took care of the problem.
