Default Shifting problems

So here is the deal, I dont drive my truck to much anymore. It just sits. Anyhow when i do go to drive it, I will go to put it in reverse and i can push the gas right away and it just revs doesnt really do anything less i step on it pretty good. Other wise i have noticed if it doesnt start to go in reverse when i shift right away i can put it in nutral then back into reverse and it will be fine... This only doesnt it when it sits for a couple of days?

Any ideas?

moe in wichita ks
the tourqconverter is draining down. on some trans you can get a kit to fix it from transgo. not going into rev right away mostly when its cold somtimes ca be a cloged filter. rev runs the line pressure to 300 psi and a cloged filter cant move that much oil, in a forward gear the line pressure is about 150 psi. if you go stright to rev and it bangs to hard, do this, pull the lever into low first, this fills the rev servo to 150 first, then go to rev that takes it too 300. thats a change of 150 not 300
