Gears & tuner?
I'm a Mustang GT owner and can speak the language but when it comes to Dodge trucks, I have a lot to learn. My wife owns 98 Dakato with 106,500 as of today. If anyone is willing, could you answer some questions?
What is the stock gear for the 98 5.2L SLT 4x4 and rear end size?
Is there a handheld tuner for the 98?
Are there long tube headers? Who makes them?
Cold Air intake? Who makes them?
Fog lights, I have the plastic mold and would like to cut them out and place fog lights in. I take it there is already mounting holes? Any recommentions for purchasing such as Summit Racing? AutoZone? Is there a company that taylors to these trucks? In the mustang world...There are a tons of companies.
Thanks for the help.
Eric

the stock gear all depends usally it is 3.55, or 3.9
There are several hand held tuners but I would go with superchips.
Long tube headers there is one set made for 2wd drive ones, but for 4x4 you have to get some custom made.
CAI, you can buy from several companies, but I advise against them unless you plan on routing cold air to the filter... A drop in is a better idea, k & n is one of the better types.
Here is the thing, find lights that are the right size, than get the brackets from somewhere or buy OEM ones. A lot of the time the wiring is already there..
